Patient Webinar Series

The Managing Your Life in Motion Patient Webinar Series Continues on October 3, 2007!

The Managing Your Life in Motion webinar series presented by WE MOVE continues with its third program, "Talking with the Doctor about Your RLS Symptoms: Open Lines of Communication...Living with RLS." This online event will take place on October 3, 2007, from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM EDT.

As an often chronic or sometimes lifelong condition, restless legs syndrome (RLS) can be challenging to diagnose and to manage over time. As a patient in today's healthcare environment, you are likely to be very involved in making decisions about your healthcare matters, including how and when to treat your symptoms of RLS. Arming yourself with information will help you to communicate more clearly with members of your healthcare team and empower you to captain your own ship.

WE MOVE's next webinar will be a roundtable discussion that will help you to learn about the concept of health literacy, why having adequate health literacy is important, and what you need to bring to the table to produce more positive outcomes when you visit your doctor. John W. Winkelman, MD, PhD, is leading the roundtable, which will include other physicians and healthcare professionals. Dr. Winkelman is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Medical Director of the Sleep Health Center of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
