Does anyone out there have weakness in their legs with the ET? This is something new for me. I was diagnosed a year ago, and for the most part, the meds seem to be controlling the tremor. Recently I have had very little stamina, and my legs seem weak. I don't know if there really is muscle weakness, or if it only feels that way. I can't stand very long without having to sit. I cook a meal, then have to sit. I stand in church for a while, then must sit. And, I'm having those weird "tickling" sensations in my legs, and sometimes in my arms.
Does this sound like a reason to contact the neurologist? I haven't noticed that my tremor has increased. Well, maybe a little bit, but that might be because I am so focused on this new "event".
I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Susan, Almost every day I hear about this muscle weakness, I have no answers only thoughts...
I have weakness in my legs, arms and hands. I thought it was the medicine perhaps. The Neuropharmocologist said NO!
So I have to go back to the Neurologist and family doctor with these issues I guess.
I keep hearing about it though so there must be something to it.
If I find out anything I will post! Hugs, Elizabeth

Well, I feel a little embarrassed even posting this queston. My first post to this board was less than a month ago, and it was a response to a question about this very thing: muscle weakness. My response was, in effect, "No problem! I had it for a while, but it goes away." Now, here it is again, with a vengence! Well, this whole ET thing is certainly a learning experience. And, it can be humbling, too.

Hi Susan, You are right about ET being a learning and humbling experience...
Some days you are the bug... the next the window ;(
What triggered this latest episode? Have you been able to put a label on it?
Not enough sleep, water, stress going on, company over, tax time LOL! If you really think about it, the silly things could be something like getting a cold. Cold medications really cause a problem! Caffeine?
Is it really muscle weakness or internal tremors you are feeling in your legs/hands/torso?
Lots of questions for you Hugs, Elizabeth

You just summed up my life: not enough sleep, water, stress, company, tax time. I work two jobs, husband works long hours also. Daughter in college lives with us. Elderly mother lives with us. Other daughter going through very rough time and lives 12 hours away, so many tearful phone calls. Husband's elderly mother lives in our town. He is only child, so we help her out. My mother's health is bad. Her money situation does not allow her to contribute to the household anymore. My husband had bypass surgery last summer. (He and my mother were on walkers at the same time.) Two weeks ago he had stents inserted in iliac arteries. He's fine and back at work. Taxes? I filed for an extension. Have I been sick? Healthy as a horse, thank the Lord. I'm in charge, you know. *grin* And, hey ... I need that caffeine. Just one big cup in the morning. Let's see .... did I leave anything out? This is more than you EVER wanted to know, I'm sure.
All kidding aside, I think that if ET has a "trigger", it might have been my surgery. Although, it truly could be all of the stressors in my life.
