My wife has had a tremor problem for a few years now that suddenly, became much worse. We have been seen at the University of Michigan's movement clinic. The attending there after exam decided to take her off mysoline and started her on Sinemet. Monday she took one at 7am, one at 3 pm and the last at 11 pm. Went fine. Tuesday one in the morning and the next at three. A couple of hours later she began with rapid eye blinks and then began to have violent tremors in both arms and legs. I took her to emergency and the doctor gave her benadryl which immediately relieved her symptoms. Well, after a couple of hours she seemed normal. Today, a bit ago she again had violent tremors but not quite so bad. Loss of ability to speak well. Today there is no Simemet to blame. Any experiences to apply? Thanks. Also, this movement disorder stuff isn't any fun!
Just added 3:00 pm 23rd....new episode of violent tremors in arms and legs, one at 2:30 and several at short intervals therafter. Seems like a wave hits, tremors for 4-5 minutes then subsides for about 2 minutes before starting again. Before, when she was only on mysoline she only had tremors in the left arm and her head.
